Petal handles some of the most sensitive data a firm holds. We collect as little as we need, use it only to run the service, and never train models on it.
What we process
To do the work, Petal processes the documents and records your firm connects, plus account details like names and emails. Client data is processed on your firm’s behalf and stays scoped to your tenant.
How we use it
We use your data to read sources, draft work, reconcile records, and manage requests, and to keep the service running and secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use client data to train any model.
The model layer
Petal runs on Claude with zero data retention at the model layer. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with keys scoped per tenant.
Your control
Your firm owns its data and can export or delete it. We retain records only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
